Point of Departure
Point of Departure 48 x 48 oil and wax LPressman
My favorite time of the exhibition process is after the show is hung and before the official opening. The stress, worry, and obsessive nit picking is (mostly) over. I can spend some time with the work as it lives outside of the studio.
And, the studio is almost empty!!

Your work looks fabulous, Lisa! I really like your new approach of making more "figures" in the ground and the nicely integrated color. That big one, Point of Departure, is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations! It's always so rewarding to see your work hung in that nice, clean gallery space. Good on you.
Congratulations on your upcoming show! The photos are great, the lighting seems perfect and your work looks so so good. I like the mixture of sizes and the large one is a stand out. Best of fun and celebration on the 15th!

Congratulations on an awesome looking show, Lisa. It is so wonderful to see these larger pieces of encaustic in a gallery setting this way.
the gallery looks great with your work! Congrats! That's a lot of work and planning on your part. Savor the moment(s). Well deserved.

Wow, Lisa, the installation and the work looks fabulous!! I especially love the newer work you're doing, which is always a good sign when your viewers love your most recent work. Congratulations! I'll be sending positive thoughts your way on the 15th.
this is a show I so wish I could see! it looks fabulous - congratulations Lisa :)
Oh how wonderful your artwork looks all around the room! Sure do wish I lived closer to you. :) Very beautiful works! Congrats and best of sales!!
Great paintings, great show. Enjoy.
Oh my Lisa, it all looks incredible hung together. I think my choice would be the two hung one above the other - probably. So much light, space and white wall showing; it all looks very professional. Fabulous.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words
Hi Lisa,
I came across your blog (having been a student of Joanne Mattera/following her blog) and wanted to say what wonderful work! I am especially interested in your most recent work.
