Mixed Media collage 8.2 x 9.8 in 1984
I "discovered" this artist on the Dear Ada blog a few months ago. It is hard to believe that I have never seen her work. Where I have been?

Even though I'm familiar with Hannelore Baron , these images are new to me...thank you...her work is such a great experience.
I have a catalogue of her work and when I bring it to classes, my students gasp. They had not seen these exquisite images before. They truly take your breath away.

Dear Ada is a treasure trove!
Thanks for posting these.
Ha ha...yes! I too "discovered" this artist...via a book at the Neuberger Museum bookshop. I'll share it with you. Great work.
These images are great and I can see their special appeal for you since they are reminiscent of your own work. Thanks for posting them!
I have been a fan of her work as well, since I discovered some images online a few years ago. These are wonderful.
Martha
aka @colorpoetry on Twitter!
I'm a fan as well. I'll have to check out Dear Ada.
Don't you just love the 'gestures and mumblings' quote...??
Lisa, it was fabulous to finally meet you in person at Montserrat.
Hi All.
I love her work. I would love to see that book, Deb
Dear Ada is worth checking out!
And great meeting you, CMC-it was quick
how wonderful -- there is such a delicacy in her works, pure and simple as breath -- thanks for sharing!
I discovered Hannelore Baron 10 years ago and have acquired several of her catalogs and books of her work- I still remember the day I went into that Seattle gallery and stood mesmerized and stared at each intimate small piece for long periods- I did not want to leave the gallery and actually returned the following week-- a feat that I have to tell you is difficult at best if you have ever tried to drive into Seattle and find parking you will know what I mean-- anyway, her work moves me and touches me.
I love Hannelore Baron's work. The last piece is new to me. Wonderful!
Hi I have one of Hannelore Baron's collages...would anyone be interested in it?-Paul (henrygrove@yahoo.com)..just e-mail me!
I too love the work of Hannelore Baron and would love to hear from anyone who has any of her work, or images of her work. I am a practising artist hoping to do my M.A. soon, and find that her work connects deeply with some of my ideas and own art practice. I only have the booklet Hannelore Baron Works from 1969-1987. If anyone knows of any other publications and how to get hold of them, please let me know. I am so glad I stumbled upon this blog.
Best to all
Diana
to Diana Baur, there's only one other catalog as nice as the one you have (from a show of her boxes at the Univ. of Memphis)if you give me an address to mail it to I can send you one - you can email me at markandelise@hotmail
Best, Mark Baron (her son)
Finally, a Hannelore Baron website: http://www.hannelorebaron.net/
Still some corrections & formatting to do, but it's 95% done. Please send a link to anyone you know who would be interested - now that I've made the site I have no idea how to get the word out.
Thanks,
Mark (Hannelore's son)
Hi MArk,
I just saw this comment from last year about the website.
I will post a new blog post introducing the website.
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
A Hannelore Baron show just opened, yesterday, at Michael Rosenfeld Gallery. Hope you can see it, it's quite different from any of her past shows!
